This oil painting tutorial for beginners landscape is painted on canvas that i have stained with raw sienna acrylic paint and use cobalt blue and white chalk for an outline.

The trick with painting sunset in oils is to take your time, work on your colour creation and blending. Then to put the detail of the waves and beach over the top. To get a nice and easy yet realistic oil painting ocean sunset.
