Basically you want to aim at the gray piece to the left and do full spin and full power (1 tick less than full power is fine if the aim is correct). I managed to time the aim correctly a number of times, but had to adjust on the ones where my aim was off (1st 3 frames were awful, the rest I knew exactly what I was doing). If your aim is off just left of the gray you need the power to be about 56 blocks shorter and then just use full spin again. I didn't use to aim immediately like this, but I wanted the video to be shorter so I did it this way (just do 2 really fast A taps after it says "start"). I recommend just aiming for the spot normally, but if you are consistent at tapping 'A' fast you can just aim immediately as well.
