How to make a soft tea bread with Lavender.

Ingredients:
3/4 Cup Milk or Milk Substitute
1 Tablespoon Dried Lavender
2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 1/2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
6 Tablespoons Butter, Softened
1 Cup Sugar

Directions:
1. In a small saucepan, combine the lavender and milk and bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cook 3 minutes, then remove from heat at let cool 10 minutes.
2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs until combined. Add the flour mixture alternating with the milk mixture to the butter mixture, stirring after each addition just until combined.
3. Prepare a 5 by 9 inch loaf pan with baking spray or with butter and dust with flour. Pour batter into pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 325F for 50 to 55 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in pan 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack and cool completely.
