What if we could see the invisible? At MIT, we're turning this concept into reality through extreme cameras and extreme AI. I'll demonstrate how we're pushing the boundaries of human perception, from seeing around corners to detecting invisible stress in objects. Imagine the possibilities: cars that can spot incoming traffic from blind spots, or bridges that warn us before they collapse. AI with superhuman vision is on the horizon and you truly won't see it coming.


3D Technology, AI, Engineering, Future, Innovation, Invention, Robots Akshat is a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT Media Lab in the Camera Culture group led by Prof. Ramesh Raskar. He received his Ph.D. from Rice University and Masters and Bachelors from IIT Madras. His research lies at the intersection of applied optics, computer vision and machine learning. His work has been recognized by Ralph Budd Best Thesis Award, OSA Best Paper Prize and fellowships by Texas Instruments and Qualcomm.
