قراءة سورة الكهف كل يوم جمعة سنة مستحبة يحرص عليها كثير من المسلمين، حيث قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «من قرأ سورة الكهف في يوم الجمعة، أضاء له من النور ما بين الجمعتين»، وهذا النور يقذفه الله في قلب القارئ، أو في بصره، أو بصيرته، أو في كل أحواله، أو هو نور يصعد له مع أعماله إلى السماء، أو تشاهده الملائكة، أو يسطع له في الآخرة نور، ويظل هذا النور طوال الأسبوع من الجمعة إلى الجمعة.

قراءة سورة الكهف وحفظ الآيات العشر من منها سبب للعصمة من الدجال لما في هذه الآيات من العجائب والآيات؛ فمن علمها لا يستغرب أمر الدجال، ولا يفتتن به، ويسهل عليه الصبر والصمود أمام تلك الفتنة الكبرى التي يفتن بها الدجال غير المؤمنين ويكفرهم، وتكون العصمة من الدجال هي من خصائص الله لمن حفظ هذه الآيات.
