One of the biggest roadblocks to comprehension is a disengaged mind. The Three Big Questions is a strategy to help you and others understand and comprehend informational texts. This tutorial is part 1 and focuses on the first question: “What surprised me?” You’ll go through one of the biggest misconceptions of reading informational texts as well of a scenario that demonstrates how surprising things make us want to talk and discuss them.
