I was a slim and healthy child, teen and young adult but life stresses and multiple pregnancies and births took their toll on my health. I landed at a 36.5 BMI at the start of Covid at the age of 53.

I used the time at home to educate myself, learning all about whole food plant based eating through books and videos online. I found lots of recipes that tasted great and helped me lose 15 pounds.

In February 2021, I stumbled upon Chef AJ’s Real Truth About Weight Loss Summit and was hooked! The information presented was undeniable and the experts all said the same thing—It’s The Food!

I embraced the SOFASfree way of eating (Sugar, Oil, Flour, Alcohol and Salt), acknowledged my food addiction and lost an additional 45 pounds with the help of Chef AJ, Dr. Doug Lisle and Dr. Alan Goldhamer.

My BMI has dropped to 27.5 since the start of Covid. I have 23 pounds left to lose and I’m excited to get there, one meal at a time! I’m looking forward to spending my second 55 years in great health!
