In this Ableton Live lite tutorial I show how to use Ableton to help with your metal songwriting. With Ableton metal songs can be arranged in the session view screen, and different parts auditioned with each other very easily compared to other daws. Also by using the clip launcher in ableton metal drums can be auditioned under guitar lines that you wouldn’t ordinarily have tried, giving a riff a whole new feel. Unlike other Ableton Live tutorials I’m not demonstrating how to use the recording features of the DAW, but the unique session view that helps you arrange music in a much more creative way.
