A campground review and tour of Taconic State Park in Copake Falls, NY, where I camped for 2 night in late May at site 86.

I booked my site through the Reserve America app as a last minute trip as I wanted to hike Bish Bash Falls. This was the first trip of the 2023 camping season for me and my first time visiting and staying at this campground. The campground itself is on the smaller side, but very nice with some newer amenities like modern bathrooms and a shower house, all of which are handicap accessible.

The campground also features a wading pool for little ones and a pond to swim in. I was there in the off season so the pond was not open for swimming yet with a lifeguard. Firewood bundles are available for sale at the office for $7.50 a bundle, where you can also buy a few souvenirs. The Depot Deli is also right across from the campground office and have a variety of things for campers, as well as, deli sandwiches and ice cream. There is also a trail from the campground that leads you directly to the Bish Bash Falls trail head and the Copake Iron Works historic site and museum.

Overall it's a terrific little campground for a fun weekend trip,.
