Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards. I have been training pretty extensively these past 5 months to correct some internal alignment issues that were causing me to be unable to progress in my development. I've had to go back to the drawing board and do some deep reprogramming. It's been interesting doing this work while still being in the public eye. Many people have seen me perform this routine which is my original creation taking parts of the 42 Form and blending it with the ending of 42 Sword. I debuted it for WTCQD 2020:    • Tai Chi 42 Hand and Sword Form April ...  

This was my demo for this year's WTCQD. From the outside looking in, it looks like from this performance I lost range in my mobility. But the truth is, I'm correcting alignments and gears on the inside you will never be able to see on the outside. My 2020 performance was the best I could be able to do with my previous alignments and the consequence of compensations that developed after 3 knee surgeries. I'm posting this April 2024 demonstration as a marker to document the development stage when internal corrections start taking shape. My right knee is starting to track properly. If the training goes as expected, by the end of this year I will be able to surpass my prior ceiling after my new programming completely overtakes my old programming.

Pretty soon I'll be sharing my experience on this recent training journey. It really goes to show how important the right trainer is, especially one who deeply understands the body mechanics and power dynamics for martial arts. I have learned so much about the science and mathematics of body mechanics. I'll disclose more soon
