When most people travel to Vancouver Island tend to stay in Victoria, BC. But you are missing out on an amazing place with lots to see and do all around. A great place to do a day trip is the drive to Port Renfrew and Juan de Fuca Park. There are a lot of beaches and hikes all along this route.

On this road trip, we see three amazing places. Botanical Beach, Fairy Lake, and Sombrio Beach all have their own beauty. The botanical beach is known for its intertidal life and your best chance at seeing some wildlife. Fairy Lake is a tranquil lake with a campground and is famous for its little Douglas fir tree growing out of a submerged log. Sombrio Beach is famous for its hidden waterfall in a canyon. Plus it's great for camping.
