I return to the "Goose That Laid the Golden Specimen," with high hopes of further finds.
Along the way I find stunning scenery and wildlife, bush tucker, and imprint some life long memories.
"It's not all about the gold" just as well. But it was well worth it for the memories.
After all, in the final analysis, that is what counts the most.
Treasured memories that outweigh the monetary value of mere Troy ounces.

Until next prospecting "season" I will be returning to my first love....fishing, that is. To go fishing, or gold detecting? That is my dilemma, and one which I will ponder as I watch the full moon rise, and wonder at the slow creep of a rising tide into the mangroves.
Keep an weathereye out for a fishing video or two over summer. I may just be lucky enough to snag a fish, just as I have had the good fortune to walk over the odd stray gold nugget!
