Today we are taking a short flight in the brand new Alouette III by Taog’s Hangar around the beautiful Victoria Falls area by Jeppeson2001. I’m normally not that much into helicopters, but after having a lot of fun with GotFriends Mini500 I thought it was worth checking out. Furthermore, it’s a vintage and unusual design, so it fits quite well onto this channel.

And I’m very happy I picked it up, it’s simply awesome! The visual model is stunning, the sounds are fantastic, there are a ton of nice features and it’s fun to fly. Even with the helicopter assists turned off it is very manageable to handle. I can highly recommend it and I could imagine with its good nature it would also be a good starting point if you want to get into heliflying in the sim.

The only issue I could currently find with the Alouette is that the torquepedals could be a bit more responsive. This has already been noted by the developer and will be fixed soon. As far as I know this is Taog’s first release, so I’m really looking forward to what else will come in the future, I know he’s already working on a very good looking Huey, which will be exciting.

For this flight we are taking it low around the beautiful Victoria Falls area by Jeppeson2001. I hope you can see that the Alouette is a lot of fun to fly and feels quite manageable, even in tight spots. Having said that, I hope you can excuse my horrible landing, it has nothing to do with the aircraft, but the lack of my skill. Maybe I should have landed in a more open area.
