On the 17th/18th August 2024 the Trundley Close Railway Centre were holding there late summer O gauge diesel gala. Here are some of the test train workings that could be seen prior to the big weekend, Kicking off with the beginning of august Class 40 40155 could be seen operating various trains up and down the branch with resident shunters D2555 and 13240. This was to test the reliability of the track since work to the infrastructure took place.

The 16th August saw two visiting locomotives testing a goods and passenger set prior to day 1 of the event which was to take place the following day. Class 31 31410 "Granada Telethon" and Class 50 50017 "Royal Oak" could be seen making fine work of these test trains.
