The name popularly known as "tea wine" in La Palma (Canary Islands) comes from the use of high quality tea or wood from the heart of the Canary pine for the production of barrels or "pipes". With Ubaldo Brito and Manuel Robayna in 1998 I learned about the work of the harvest, the treading of the grapes and their pressing to extract every last drop of must.
