In this video you will learn how to prepare silver nanorods using AAO template. First, aluminum is anodized in order to create a porous template with well defined pore length and diameter.In the next step silver is electrochemically deposited into the pores. Finally the surrounding aluminum oxide is etched away by using an alkaline solution causing the nanorods to escape into the solution.
