Well, it finally needed to be replaced! After a few seasons of HARD use the steering housing on my 24v, 80lb Minn Kota Terrova needed to be replaced. There was rusty, greasy, nasty looking stuff leaking from the housing in addition to making some really fun noises. Instead of paying a bunch of $$$ to have it done OR to replace the whole thing, I found a new part (link below) and was able to fix it for CHEAP! If you can use a screwdriver, you can fix this problem!
Keep in mind I am NOT a mechanic! Be sure to look up the specs for the parts needed for your motor!
