This is a test of the 3D printed landing gear strut fairing with a torsionsprung gear door, designed to be pushed open by the strut itself. The tire jammed against the first door shape at the trailing edge, which was modified to an angle along with a rounded corner, which apparently the full size aircraft had to some degree. The torsion spring is .020" music wire details will be at the build log.

The model is a radically revamped CMPro 73" span P40E, an early ARF long out of production with many scale issues. This project involves an Econversion along with correcting as many of the scale issues as possible.
