How did I come up with this image:
I always collect the golden paper of the chocolate. Because I like to stick it on the canvas. An abstract landscape came out of it. I see the golden light of the sun. How it colours the wet sandy beach and reflects on the sea. The longing for the sea always comes back to me and finds its expression in painting.

About the technique:
I have worked in a structure with the GoldFoil. The foil creates folds, which I use as a structure and I use the luminosity of the foil for shimmering effects. You can see how I apply the gold foil with glue. It was very easy. A little texture paste adds grooves and depth to the image. I apply the paint wet. It flows into the traces of the paste and colours them.
