HOW I usually MIX MY PAINT (might differe from the actual video):
I create homemade pouring medium from PVA Glue. I used 60% pva glue/40% distilled water. And I used that mixture with acrylic paint in ration 1 part of paint and 1 part of pouring medium. Plus I also added 2 drops of silicone oil.
