Composition is THE most important element in visual art, yet in photography it’s often sidelined by too great an interest in equipment and pixelpeeping. In this tutorial, I want to try to redress that imbalance. By the end of it, I hope that you’ll have a full understanding of how to compose a photograph and be able to lift the quality of your photography to a new and more satisfying level.
Some years ago I moved with my artist partner, Jill Fellows, from the UK to the beautiful LotetGaronne in southwest France where we offer weeklong residential photography and painting holidays / workshops. See http://paintingphotographyfrance.com for more details.
