The first generation and second generation ATC 250R's were air cooled, two stroke three wheelers. These were the first official race three wheelers that Honda developed. The first generation consisted of the 1981 & 1982 model years. The design and chassis was revised for the second generation, 1983 & 1984 model years. There were many different manufacturers who eventually developed race parts and accessories, some of which are mentioned in the video. Manufacturers like DG, Mugen, Cammex, and of course Hondaline.
These machines were superseded in 1985 by Honda's liquid cooled model 250R which was head and shoulders above these "Air Foolers" in many ways. But, despite that fact, these were the machines the broke ground and lead the way for Honda's ATC manufacturing into the 80's.
