(Note: As of the 8th of October, the dryer is gone, and is going to a rental property that our friend owns.)

After almost 27 years of faithful service, our old Maytag washing machine has proven to be quite unreliable over the past 2 years, with a string of breakdowns resulting in a myriad of different parts having to be replaced. After the damper pads went bad and we were not able to (easily) find a set to replace it, we decided that that was the final nail in the coffin. That meant we had to go washer shopping. We decided to also get a new matching dryer, even though our old dryer was fine, only having a few repairs throughout its life, so that we could have a matching set.
