Welcome to another episode of The Eight Nine Garage. Today we will replace the capacitors in my A9L engine control unit (ECU) from my 89 Mustang. We put Japan made Nichocon capacitors in as an upgraded replacement to the stock original components. We use solder wick to desolder the old capacitors, then use a Weller solder station to install them. However, we do eventually switch to my old Radio Shack solder iron, as it has a more appropriate tip.
