This is a tour which takes us from the earliest days of Athens, under the Stone Age king Actaeus, through contests between Gods, the patronage of Athena, and on to the buildings which even predate the Parthenon. Learn how the rejection of Poseidon led to the construction of beautiful temples and statues. Learn the chronology of these buildings, as ancient ones give way to even more ancient ones, such as the Pre Parthenon and the Ur Parthenon the Hekatompedos which go way back to Archaic age.
