Hamilton was originally intended to be released theatrically on October 15, 2021. However, in response to the COVID19 pandemic, it was moved up and was released digitally worldwide on Disney+ on July 3, 2020.[4][5][6] The film received positive reviews from critics, who praised the visuals, performances, and directing.
