What’s the movie The BreakUp about?
Pushed to the brink after yet another "Why can't you do this one little thing for me?" domestic dispute, art dealer Brooke Meyer (Jennifer Aniston from Friends and Just Go With It) decides to break up with her fiancé Gary Grobowski (Vince Vaughn from Rudy and Couples Retreat), a tour guide in Chicago. Yet neither of them is willing to move out of the apartment they share, and the only solution is to continue living under the same roof as enemy cotenants until one of them gives in. What follows is a series of tactics, sometimes suggested by old friends of the couple, sometimes by confidants and sometimes even by total strangers, designed to undermine the opponent. But somewhere between the pool table in the living room, the dirty laundry piled up in the kitchen closet, and the games being watched at full volume in the middle of the night, Brooke gradually realizes that what she's fighting for isn't so much the apartment as it is Gary. In an unexpected twist, Gary changes, but isn't it already too late?
