The BYD Shark is a Chinese truck from the MASSIVE chinabased manufacturer BYD or Build Your Dreams. It has launched in Mexico, and will next launch in Australia where it is set to take on some incredibly tough competition, like the Ford Ranger, Toyota HiLux, Isuzu DMax, Mazda BT50, Mitsubishi Triton, Volkswagen Amarok, SsangYong Musso, Kia Tasman and so many others.

Coming with a PlugIn Hybrid DMI powertrain, the BYD Shark is likely to come in significantly cheaper than competition too meaning that every other major manufacturer is going to be scrambling.

Considering the success of the BYD Atto 3, Seal, Dolphin and Sealion 6 in Australia if I was Ford, Toyota, Isuzu, Mitsubishi and every other brand... I'd be worried for sure!
