The LAAT was quite important for the GAR especially in the early days of the clone wars. It started suffering very heavy casualties and it became apparent that this entire platform was just a bad idea.
In aerial combat designing a jack of all trades, master of none is always going to be a risky move, and LAAT's vulnerabilities are extenuated by its lack of specialization. We take look at why this entire gunship transport class of vessels makes no sense.
