The Charles De Gaulle is the first French nuclearpowered aircraft carrier. Long as three football fields and high as a twentystory building, the CDG is a formidable war machine.
Equipped with 40 fighter planes, radar planes and helicopters, it transports 600 tonnes of ammunition. In less than eight days, this arsenal can be operational in the middle of a powder magazine.
