In this video I will be taking you to the latter half of the 10th century and beginning of the 11th century. We will be exploring a new land known as Vinland, but today we know this as North America. This was a time full of bloodshed and death, but also opportunity as the world was full of mystery with the maps of men were filled with an endless ocean and no one knew what lied beyond. Freydis Eiriksoddir was the sister of Leif Erikson the famous Norse explorer, but her character was far from normal from your typical Icelandic woman. This is her story.
