(in the beginning of this video, i say this self study is called ''How does NVC create change?' that was the original title which I've now changed as this feels more accurate to the content of this course)

Hi, I'm Ceri. This is a selfstudy called How does NVC create change? This is something that I've been grappling with for a while and really trying to figure out how after we've learned a bit of NVC How does that actually translate into wider systemic change? I’m really interested in getting some shared reality about what we mean by Inner work? And what we mean by outer work? And NVC is a really good example of a practice that actually moves between inner work and outer work. The inner change can create the outer change. And sometimes we need to know when we need to focus more on outer work. Sometimes we need to know when we need to focus on inner work. So we'll begin with looking at definitions of what we mean by Inner work and outer work and they may be new terms to you. We'll then look at theory of change. This is an organizational development term which organizations use to get clear, to get shared reality on how we going to get from A to B. Just so that everyone's on the same page, and with NVC I think I think the theory of change of NVC is actually quite complex. So we'll explore that. Then we're going to put this into practice. How we can make that dance between inner work and outer work and we're going to do that by looking at two polarizing opinions and you can do this practice with any polarizing opinion. So you'll go away with a somatic practice you can do in your groups. So we're doing this to really explore how we can scale up? How can we more systematically move Beyond either/ or and how we can really test NVC to its limits and gain some vocabulary about how to talk about it, because I find it very difficult talking about NVC and how to talk about it in a way that makes sense to people so it's a practice in all of that. So if you are ready to dive in, let's go
