Hello again! :D

For Part 2 of my look into the history of the DC9 family, we go from the original barnstormer that was the Douglas DC9 of the 1960s, to its unfortunate follow up for the 1980s and 90s, the McDonnell Douglas MD80 Series, an improved range that was initially a major success, but quickly found that an outdated design, high fuel costs and the arrival of a new competitor in its market segment rapidly ate away the essential monopoly it once enjoyed, with successive upgrades in the form of the MD90 failing to save the ailing McDonnell Douglas Company, and thus led to the very last variant of the DC9 family, the MD95, being released as a Boeing product, coming to pass as the modestly successful Boeing 717.
