On this day of freedom's flame,
We remember the fallen, the price, the name,
Independence won through strife and fight,
Yet shadows linger in the daylight.

Fields once green, now tainted ground,
Silent whispers, no joyous sound,
Agent Orange, a toxic blight,
A legacy born in the darkest night.

Peace Frog cries, the blood, the pain,
Sympathy for the devil’s reign,
Innocent lives forever changed,
A nation's honor sadly stained.

Heroes sent with hearts so bold,
Tales of horror left untold,
Children born with burdens deep,
Families torn, left to weep.
