After finishing the tense recording sessions of the white album, the beatles took a break from a relationship that seemed to be increasingly frayed. On the verge of breaking up, Paul McCartney proposed the Get Back project as an alternative to solve the band's problems, without so much complexity in its recording and returning to its roots, the project proposed an album, a television special with a concert that would give the Beatles a second chance.
