Here's the thing: I wasn't into this ending the first time that I watched it, but it has definitely grown on me. In this essay I discuss the dramatic irony that the final season has and how the show comments on the media landscape that it is a part of. In the last chapter, I note a personal issue I had with the ending, which to be clear, didn't affect my enjoyment of the ending. It's just a thing that I miss from the other seasons of the show.
