YuGiOh's balance has always been a topic of discussion. But one pillar of Konami's original YGO design has consistently been shelved: Trap Cards. Traps are central to the identity of our card game, differentiating it from other games like Magic the Gathering and Hearthstone. But with the advent of hand traps, and 25 years of power creep for the OCG and TCG, these playground favorites have lost a lot of ground. Is there a place for them in the meta?
