Outside the school gates, anxious parents waited, hoping for their children's success. As the bell rang, students, including some Buddhist monks, emerged from the exam hall.

Nearby, street stalls bustled as students collected certificates under the watch of supervisors. Some stopped for photos. I spoke with a student who expected a B, though I quietly hoped she’d get an A.

On my way back, I stopped at a charming café and bought fresh longan from a vendor—6,000 riels for half a kilogram.
