Chelsea Anne Manalo was born to a Filipina mother and an American father. She is the first black filam (FilipinoAmerican) to win thrñe Miss Universe Philippines and thus the first to represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe Pageant.

Manalo, who is from Bulacan, will be in thr 73rd Miss Universe Pageant later this year in Mexico.

Manalo, who is turning 25 this year, bested 52 contestants during the coronation night at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday.
