St. Bruno, the founder of the Carthusian Order, had a terrifying experience when he witnessed a once esteemed dead man reveal that his soul was damned. This instilled in Bruno a great fear of God's judgement and, from that moment on, he and his friends resolved to live a life in complete conformity to Christ.
