Modern gaming has had some highs with the likes of Elden Ring, Baulders Gate 3, and for me Jedi Survivor but also had some lows with the likes of Forspoken, Halo Infinite, and Gollum. Over the last decade, we’ve seen the giants in the industry battle it out until only one was left standing with any dignity. Xbox’s last resort has been game pass, which has led to them buying out as many companies as possible such as Bethesda and Activition. They want to give themselves a chance for the future and with that they could be looking down the barrel of dumping even more money into companies like Nintendo and Steam. However even with the issues around xbox and the gaming space in general right now with bad releases, overhyping products, $70 price tags, and making 10s of thousands redundant, we have some form of light for the next few years. So today I wanted to take you on a journey, one that talks about the amazing state that is the current future of gaming or at least the releases that are in the works which could set up this year and especially 2025 to be some of the best years in gaming that we’ve seen in a long time.
