HastyBake has just launched their new powder coated version of their Roughneck smoker and we were fortunate enough to get a preorder model shipped to us! In this video we'll get it uncrated, setup, do the first burnin and the very first cook on it, some prime beef short ribs!
The Roughneck is a high quality hand built smoker that's made from all USA steel and materials in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
It features two cooking levels with stainless steel grill grates, hanging rack, large fire basket with optional heat deflector and an ash pan to keep it all contained. The lid and firebox door are both sealed and have locking latches to provide accurate control of the air flow and internal temps. It also comes equipped with handles on all 4 sides and wheels to allow moving it around very simple.
The Roughneck Smoker is going to make one fine addition to our backyard bbq patio and will even accompany us on some of our local camping trips.
