On July 17, I began an attempted thruhike (with a few detours) of the Colorado Trail. I’m heading southbound from Denver to Durango.

This is Episode 6 in the series in which I hike most of the Collegiate West route. It includes most of Collegiate West Segments 1 (Twin Lakes to Sheep Gulch), Collegiate West Segment 2 (Sheep Gulch to Cottonwood Pass Trailhead), Collegiate West Segment 3 (Cottonwood Pass Trailhead to Tincup Pass Road), Collegiate West Segment 4 (Tincup Pass Road to Boss Lake Trailhead), and most of Collegiate West Segment 5 (Boss Lake Trailhead to Ridge Above South Fooses Creek).

Total trip days in this video: Day 16 to Day 19.

The video also includes Hope Pass, Lake Ann Pass, Carson Saddle, Chalk Pass, Tunnel Lake, Cottonwood Pass, Collegiate Peaks Wilderness, Prospector Gulch, Boss Lake, Monarch Pass, Salida CO, and Old Monarch Pass.
