Henry Ford Innovations has partnered with an early stage company, Maker Healthcare, to produce the High Acuity Walker.

The High Acuity Walker was created by the Innovations and Henry Ford Rehab Services teams to address a very real patient care concern.

It can currently take up to 5 clinicians to physically support an ICU patient as they begin to walk. The High Acuity Walker uses an innovative design to safely mobilize the patient while only requiring 2 clinicians a Physical Therapist and a Respiratory Therapist.
