This is my favourite bit of Ancient Egypt.

Here we get the reunification of the country, the golden era of the 18th Dynasty and the frankly unbelievable religious heresy of Akhenaten.In these 3 centuries, some of the greatest achievements of ancient culture are created in Thebes the temples complexes of Luxor and Karnak.

We discuss the reign of Hatshepsut and the empirebuilding of Thutmose III. And the revolution of the Aten: Akhenaten and Nefertiti, monotheism in Egypt and a totalitarian state.
