The horrors of battle, captivity, occupation, and enemy shelling can come back to those who have experienced them, and such people need full rehabilitation and psychological assistance. The symptoms of PTSD include intrusive flashbacks, nightmares, depression, irritability, and the desire to harm oneself. According to a study conducted in 2022, 57% of Ukrainian citizens are at risk of developing this disorder.
