Back in 2014 Intel launched the I7 5820K, a six core, twelve thread CPU for enthusiasts who wanted more processing power. The 4790K was more than enough for most, but this beast bridged the gap between the most expensive top tier chips, and the quad core offerings.
Socket 2011v3 motherboards can still be quite expensive, but does the seriously low used market price of these CPUs make an X99 based build worth it anyway?
