Season 3 of American Viscountess continues with my visit to the magnificent Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire. It’s everything you want a medieval castle to be – it’s a fortress, with the keep, the oldest surviving part of the castle at its heart. Berkeley Castle has been home to the same family for nearly 900 years – and within its walls, a King of England was imprisoned and murdered in 1327.
