Mountain hiking on the swedish Kungsleden trail between Ammarnäs and Hemavan. A total of 78 km. This was Tor 9 years old first week long hike. We slept three nights in our tent a Hilleberg Allak 2p and two nights in STF's nice mountain cabins, Servestugan and Syterstugan.

Claes Grundström describes the route as follows in his eminent guidebook "På Fjälltur Kungsleden":

“Between Ammarnäs and Hemavan, Kungsleden has one of the highest class sections. Most stages are relatively short and wellbalanced, and the landscape is one of the most magnificent you can experience along the entire trail. The trail passes through Vindelfjällen's large nature reserve, which contains a cross section of the Swedish mountain nature. The landscape changes from forest expanses and bogs, to rolling mountain plateaus and culminates in alpine peaks that have small glaciers ”.
