Chiapas is the largest banana producer in the country, and the Soconusco region is its Eden. We visited a banana plantation in the municipality of Mazatán to learn about the harvest of the most cultivated tropical fruit in the world.

Being in the southernmost part of Mexico, Soconusco benefits from a tropical climate, which gives life to the extensive banana plantations in Mazatán.

The region is also home to the green iguana, parrots, and other living beings that we find on our way.
